About St Albans Voice - a personal statement

I'm putting this page on the website in response to the fear of some people that St Albans Voice is actually a front for a local pressure group or political party. Since this may have inhibited some people from participating in the site, let me assure you that this is definitely NOT the case.

While I put the site together to facilitate the debate concerning the King Harry Lane development, it is something which have I felt for some time would be useful to enable the dissemination of 'grass roots' opinions and information quickly and cheaply in an age where the big players - business, councils, political institutions - usually have the advantage of access to communications.

May I emphasize that St Albans Voice is a personal project and that I have no affiliations to any political, religious or other partisan organisation. I hope other groups will provide new topics and I am happy to invite contributions and operate the website as long as the demands do not become excessive.
